The IT industry exposure trip organized by Gordon College involved a visit to iPhiTech and iFiTech, offering students a firsthand exploration of the inner workings of a leading IT company. Led by professors, the visit aimed to provide insights into the company's operations, the IT landscape, and the potential career opportunities in the industry. The itinerary included interactions with key personnel, a tour of the office spaces, and discussions with prominent figures in the company, such as Ms. Lear Dacanay, HR Director, and Mr. Benjamin Yalung, Vice President of Operations. Additionally, students had the chance to explore internship opportunities and further expand their perspectives during a visit to iFiTech.

II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings) 

The exposure trip proved to be a transformative experience, prompting deep reflections and imparting valuable learnings. The visit to iPhiTech allowed students to understand the company's culture, organizational structure, and the roles contributing to its success. The discussion with Mr. Benjamin Yalung broadened perspectives on the current state and future prospects of the IT industry, emphasizing the importance of innovation, adaptability, and a growth mindset. Insights from Mr. Mark Madalipay on internship opportunities underscored the significance of real-world experience, hands-on learning, and networking in shaping successful careers. The visit to iFiTech further deepened our understanding of the industry's diversity and complexity, presenting challenges and opportunities.

The organization of the IT industry exposure trip received positive feedback for its effectiveness and comprehensiveness. The warm welcome by Ms. Lear Dacanay set a positive tone, and the well-structured itinerary allowed students to gain valuable insights into the industry. Interactions with various teams and key personnel, including the VP of Operations, were seamlessly integrated, providing a holistic view of the company's operations. The inclusion of internship insights from Mr. Mark Madalipay added practical relevance to the experience. Overall, the event organization was praised for its clarity, engagement, and the depth of exposure provided.

IV. Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities 

I do not think that there should be any improvements that should be made, the way that the company staff who visited us were very kind and welcoming. It was a very fun experience.
