6th Regional Assembly on Information Technology Reflection Paper

    Regional Assembly on Information Technology Education (RAITE 2023).


    I. Details of the event/activity 

On October 30, 2023, my classmates and I traveled to AUF, Pampanga to participate in the Regional Assembly on Information Technology Education (RAITE 2023). We took a bus for our school trip, which proved to be an enjoyable journey. The event was hosted at the sports complex of Angeles University Foundation, and it drew a crowd of more than 1,700 Computer Studies students from various institutions, including representatives from Bulacan State University, Santa Rita College, and schools in Olongapo offering computer-related courses.

II. Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings) 

    Upon our arrival, the atmosphere was already charged with excitement as preparations for the event were underway. The event's theme, "AI Nexus: Convergence of Technology and Human Ingenuity," set the stage for a lively start, with participants enthusiastically cheering during game prize distributions. Cash prizes were awarded, intensifying the competition among students. Raffle draws added to the anticipation, with prizes ranging from a new smartphone to notebooks and earbuds.

III. Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level (practical application of learning) 

    The event featured a lineup of knowledgeable speakers who shared valuable insights about the potential of AI and its future implications. They offered guidance to students, both in terms of their academic pursuits and future career prospects. The speakers also introduced useful websites that students could leverage to streamline their studies and future professions.

    The event concluded with a highly anticipated pageant that generated an enthusiastic response from the audience. The spirited competition had many attendees vocally supporting their favorite candidates and anxiously awaiting the results. All in all, the event can be considered a resounding success and a memorable experience in my college journey.

 The event was well handled and made our stay very fun. It had a lot of entertainment that were presented to us and I was genuinely impressed by all of it

V. Suggestions for improvements to be made/consider for future activities 

I do not have any necessary impactful suggestions that I can give because the event was flawless and truly very fun.
